  24. SET EFFECTSΓǪ

  26. This command enables you to set any visual effects you want to use in moving from the slide currently visible to the next, or the previous slide. A collection of checkboxes and other buttons will appear.  Check the combination that defines the visual effect you want, then click 
  27.                        SET FORWARD EFFECT>>  
  28. to set it as the effect to be used in moving from the current slide to the next slide, or click 
  29.                     <<SET BACKWARD EFFECT 
  30. to set it as the effect in going back to the previous slide. Click the DONE button when forward and backward effects are set to your satisfaction.

  32. If you do not set any visual effects yourself, SmartSlides will automatically use "scroll left slowly to card" and"scroll right slowly to card" for the forward and backward effects, respectively.

  34. If you have set other visual effects for the current slide and want to revert to the stock effects described just above, you can hold the SHIFT key down while clicking on the SET EFFECTSΓǪ command button.

  36. Transitions between cards which are the result of using the links in chains (see LINKING and CHAINING)
  37. will always use a composite visual effect:
  38.      iris close to black
  39.      iris open to card.
